Sandblasting
Sandblasting is a method used to remove grease, dirt, rust, and corrosion from metal surfaces, extending their lifespan through a coating process. This process involves using abrasive substances, or “grits,” with varying specifications to strip away surface imperfections and reveal the true essence of the metal.
However, freshly sandblasted metal is highly susceptible to rust and corrosion. If left in a damp environment, oxidation can occur within hours, leading to color changes and surface damage. Therefore, it’s crucial to protect sandblasted metal promptly through coating to prevent contact with air.
At Gera Makina, our trained professionals handle sandblasting and coating applications with precision. Even the highest-quality sandblasting can be compromised by unprofessional coating application, leading to corrosion. Hence, it’s essential to entrust coating processes to skilled teams using proper equipment.
Choosing the right abrasives and epoxy coatings tailored to specific metal structures and industry requirements is vital for quality outcomes. Sandblasting creates surface roughness akin to sandpaper, facilitating better adhesion for coatings.
Our sandblasting cabinet dimensions are: LENGTH: 7000mm, WIDTH: 5000mm, HEIGHT: 3500mm.
